Lisa brings more than 22 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, having worked across hospital, community health, and private practice settings. Throughout her career, she has supported individuals aged 7 to 80, addressing a wide range of conditions including orthopaedic injuries, soft tissue damage, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and various general medical conditions.
Passionate about evidence-based practice, Lisa is committed to empowering individuals and their caregivers with the skills and knowledge needed to maximise independence in all areas of life.
She has designed and delivered workshops on occupational rehabilitation, mental health, and workplace ergonomics/anthropometrics. Lisa completed her Master’s in Occupational Therapy in 2000, during which she co-authored a thesis titled “Older Drivers & Driving Cessation,” later published in the British Journal of Occupational Therapy in 2003. Her research highlighted the importance of driving as a fundamental activity of daily living, strongly tied to personal freedom, independence, and autonomy.
Lisa has extensive experience conducting functional capacity assessments across a range of environments, including homes, offices, and workplaces. She specialises in evaluating how a person’s condition impacts their ability to participate in daily activities, work tasks, and leisure pursuits, using a combination of standardised and non-standardised assessment tools to identify and quantify functional limitations. In addition, Lisa is highly skilled in recommending assistive technology and home modifications to enhance clients’ safety, independence, and overall quality of life.
